THE LIBRARY AND LAND OF KNOWLEDGE

Egypt is the knowledge center of the world.
Egypt is a county with beautiful parks
The greeks came to egypt to learn about knowledge.
We gave small presents to the children and were taken to see cows and donkeys held in great prize. Ismail's sister was most taken with a canadian friend we took with us, susan and held her hand when we went for a walk around - they were both 19 years old, and it would not happen in our country but seemed so natural there.
Egypt is the land of our dreams, and we have spent the happiest of all our holidays together there
Egypt has The worlds oldest university, Phareos and Pyramids, wonderful gold artefacts and hidden tombs.
Our visit to the library ,Al-azhar park ,university and museum exceeded even my wildest dreams.
WE are lucky enough to sail on the Nile, and spend time at Luxor and Aswan.
We have visited Dendera, Cairo, Sakkara, the giza plateau, Abydos and of course all the main sites along the Nile and in Luxor and Aswan.
We have spent very happy family holidays and reunions in cairo and next time we will visit the North Coast of Egypt.
My favourite story of our times spent in Egypt is the lucky encounter we had with a taxi driver called Ismail in Luxor. His taxi was parked outside the New Winter Palace, and we needed a taxi and became friends immediately.
Despite the stories you hear about having to be careful of befriending taxi/kalesh drivers, we got to know Ismail really well during two holidays at Luxor.
Two years ago, On our last trip he invited us to have dinner with him and his family, and it was a wonderful night. We ate traditional food at his house, and visited family and friends.
